Island Pasta Coronado

Both my wife and I had pasta dishes and found both of them to be very good, good sized portion and a fair price. Also, good service. Walked past this location visiting the town and on our way back to our car stopped for lunch. Glad we did!

I would describe this as a cheap eats for lunch type place and more casual dining. Food was very good and the sandwiches and salads ordered by the table were enjoyed by all. Beers super cheap during the day time, $2.75 draught pints couldn’t be beaten during our visit! A short walk from the hotel Coronado and would happily revisit

We visited Island Pasta in Coronado Friday night. We sat outside and we ordered the CaesarSalad with chicken and the Spaghettini with Meat Sauce and a meatball and Italian sausage. I also ordered the Island salad for an appetizer. The island salad was fantastic. The dressing was little bit salty,little bit sweet which complemented the greens and olives perfectly. My wife’s Caesar salad with chicken was pretty disappointing. The salad itself wasn’t flavorful and the chicken pieces all still had their anemic skin on. Very unappetizing! Pictures to follow. My husband has not returned a meal in 30 years. He could not eat his meal nor could my grandson or myself. We voiced our concerns, including that we really were concerned something bad had happened to the Chicken Marsala. It tasted of bitter onion and brown sugar. The spaghetti with beef sauce was bland and the meat texture was odd. The ravioli and sauce was greasy and just yucky to me. Full plates were returned. We did not want to order alternatives. The two beers were good. The prosecco was not cold. We paid $92 dollars for three bad meals and upset stomachs. I don't know that I will post a google review...

Great food for the whole family. Pasta and pizza were great. Even took a pizza to go for a late night snack. Friendly service. We would definitely return.

Basic and nothing special. Food was bland. Salads are over dressed. Not my favorite. Staff was nice and prompt. Arnold Palmer was made with pink lemonade ( this is a person pet peeve). Would not go again.

I disagree with the negative reviews. Good service, attentive appropriately. Location, as other reviewers cite is excellent. I had eggplant parmigiana sandwich with a local beer. Bread on the open-faced sandwich was very fresh and with a nice crisp crust. Eggplant and sauce were spot on. I would return and try a salad or pasta.

We randomly stopped by to have cold drinks after touring the town. Then later decided to have quick lunch and was not all impressed. Supposedly they are famous with their house pasta. It was just average. Our host was very friendly and helpful. This restaurant is at a great spot location wise but food could be better.

I tried Island Pasta back in 2000, yes long long time ago. I had the chance to try it again recently. I was a little disappointed with the quality of food, no more fresh bake bread served before meal, you have to order it on the side, garlic bread...... They do provide you with a slide of bread, looks like from the supermarket. The pasta was a little moist and kind of too wet for my taste.

Great service. Great value. Great food. My wife and I we very impressed with the service we received and their handling of our daughter's food allergies. Our son also forgot his coat and one of the servers chased us down the street to return it. Fantastic dinning experience at this quaint little restaurant.

Love the fresh, housemade pasta and cheesy garlic bread! Food is delicious and portions are plentiful. Staff are friendly and food service is quick. We try to visit every time we are in Coronado and highly recommend!

Service was excellent. The caprese sandwich was not. Too dry. And they're pasta salad is great , but you don't get much.

The pasta (tortellini) and pizza were delicious, the servers were super friendly and helpful, and the price was great. Don't eat at the Del (overpriced), eat here instead.

Walking through Coronado looking for a place to eat, we decided on Island Pasta. Classic menu, reasonably priced, and a large wine selection - most for under $40 a bottle. Two of us ate a fantastic pasta dinner with a full bottle of wine and fantastic baguettes, for under $50. I don't do a lot of reviews, but felt compelled to do this because we were so pleased. Those negative remarks we read seem to be because they are so busy and can't accommodate everyone all the time.

Great place! Service was top notch and the pasta is made there. Garlic bread with cheese is highly recommended. I’d go back just for that!

This was a cute little restaurant. Main reason we went here was for the fresh homemade pasta. My husband loved the tortellini, but wasn’t a big fan of the grilled chicken they topped the dish with. My spaghetti was okay; not what I was expecting from fresh pasta. Not “al dente “ enough . The garlic bread was really good! I would give the restaurant another try. Our server Austin was awesome. He had a lot of tables but was able to serve everyone calmly.

Small upscale, restaurant. Friendly staff, decent Pasta, good cheesy bread, descent wine selection. Rosemary chicken was a bit dry. Small place so expect a wait on weekends during lunch and dinner unless u can get a seat at the bar.

Best pasta ever! Will be back.

Absolutely terrible food.... don’t waste your time or money here. Service was unpleasant, and noodles and pasta tasted like a 6 year old cooked it.
